Day 45...or something. The thing about this strike is that human emotion is involved. The tax payers now want revenge on OC Transpo.
It's very sad that it has come to this, but such is human nature. OC Transpo has really, really messed up on their timing. By picking a date that would produce the most damage to the tax payer, they turned it personal. And by turning it personal, they immediately brought out irrational, human behavior.
If they had a chance to do it over, I think they shouldn't have striked during the holidays.
Posted by boredottawa at January 23, 2009 03:41 PMDidn't they choose that time *because* of the holidays?
I think both OC and the gov't messed up with this.
Nothing's been done to adequately compensate the loss - they're only *talking* about letting people use their december passes in Feb - and that people can ride the bus for free until Feb 13 or 14 - meanwhile full service to the 'burbs isn't going to really happen for approx. 10 weeks - that's not mid Feb.
I don't know..that's just not enough.
