Staples and Futureshop suck

I had the day off today. Slept and in and played Beach volleyball. I'm all done now, but let me tell you a story first.

So I finally bought a Camera. I got the Canon SD300 4MP compact. I also purchased the SanDisk 512MB Ultra II. My misadventure all started when I realized I wanted to have my camera for a wedding on Saturday. At that point, eBay was out, and as it so happens, it was on sale at Futureshop and Staples.

I went to Staples because they usually have less salesman, only I didn't realize they were also missing a good business sense. The SanDisk card was selling for $99 at Staples online, but for $95 at Futureshop. The camera was $399 everywhere. I printed out a price listing of the card but the guy at Staples wouldn't price match it because Futureshop didn't carry it in their store. Neither did bestbuy which also sold it for $95. So I tell him:

"Look, tell you what. I'll also buy that Canon camera over there."

That's over $550 if you're counting that I'm going to give staples, if they drop the price by $5. The guy gets the manager and they say no. If it's not in stock, we don't price match.

OMG. Are you fucking retarded?!? Let's see. Minus $5, or Plus $550. So I said:

"That's your loss. I'm now going to buy neither from you" and I walked out. Zero Business sense. Go back to eating Jello and taking naps dude. He was a nice guy, but clearly doesn't belong in the business world. I will no longer buy anything from Staples. Instead of bending the rules and perhaps building a relationship with customer who clearly wanted to spend money there, he fucked it all up. Good job Potsy.

So off I went to Futurecrap to deal with the annoying "Would you like to buy a warranty for a Billion dollars?" Fuck no asshole. Just give me my camera. I obviously didn't use those words, I'm a nice guy, but I said no and the guy still wanted to show me. I admire that. He's a dick, but atleast he's trying hard to make some money, unlike Potsy at Staples.

I tell the guy I also want the SanDisk 512MB Ultra II card. He said that Futurecrap doesn't order for people and it's no where in stock at that price. So I asked him, if I order right now (wednesday at the time) will it arrive by friday? Of course he said.

I just called puralator. They said it'll arrive on Monday. Fucking bastard at Futurecrap lied!!! That's not new.

Oh well, I have a friend who has offered to lend me a 256MB card in the meantime.

Man, all this trouble for a camera and a memory card.
