Slowly getting used to it

I am starting to get used to my new macbook. The biggest issue I have so far other than finally getting wireless working (hint: the wrong wep key was saved in the key chain and was not being overridden when I typed it in) is figuring out the keyboard shortcuts. I use shortcuts. A lot. So discovering when I use ctrl, when to use the weird apple key, and when OS X still keeps it secrets from me is frustrating. I'll figure it out eventually.

Heh yeah, I was the same way. Macs are different in lots of little ways. BTW, the Apple key is called the Command key in most books and articles. Took me a few weeks to figure that one out.

Going between 2 different operating systems can be a real pain. I use Linux quite a bit, and I still can't stop typing all those forward slashes in the windows command prompt. Oh, and that Firefox edit->preferences/tools->options thing is really annoying. It's the same program, the menu options should be the same. At least a lot of the major shortcuts are the same. Anyway, have fun with your Mac. Hope it doesn't take too much getting used to.
