Trip To Matsumoto

During the second weekend in January, Van and I went to Matsumoto in Nagano (home of the Winter Olympics) prefecture to see Suguru perform in an ice-carving competition.

Nagano prefecture is cold and snowy because of its high elevation.

All along the main street leading to the winter festival area were candle holders made of ice. Dozens were set up on the steps of this telecommunications company.
