Landmark Tower

Tuesday March 15, 2005

Located in the Minato Mirai 21 area of Yokohama, Landmark Tower is the tallest building in Japan - 70 floors high. For a country as earthquake-prone as Japan, this is as tall as it gets. It has a flexible structure to absorb the force of earthquakes and is built along the same principles as Japanese five-storied pagodas, which have never collapsed in an earthquake.

Does calling it Landmark Tower make it a landmark?
