A Shrine And A Funny Hat
"Get me a little hat and a cherry coke. God wants a little hat and a cherry coke!" Friday December 17, 2004
Shrines are everywhere, especially in small towns. They can be large public garden type affairs, to small crumbling alcoves beside the sidewalk. I have heard that it is very spiritually ill-advised to tear down a shrine, so once it is built, there it stays, even when office buildings crop up next to it. Statues like this are common in many shrines, and for some reason, people put clothes on the statues. The little men often have these little chef's hats on, and sometimes a little cape too. |
