five lesser-known things

I was tagged by Ryan to come up with five things you probably don't know about me. I tag Renuka, James, Mike, Shannon, Tanya.

1. When I was in grade six or seven, a friend and I stayed overnight in the public library - without permission, of course. We each told our parents we were staying at the other's. We chose the library because hey, we were twelve. The idea came from a novel I'd read where two girls stay overnight in a museum.

2. I have met the following celebrities in person: the Barenaked Ladies; the English voice-acting cast of Sailor Moon; Anne Rice; and the then-prime minister of Canada, Jean Chrétien.

3. I am afraid of heights, but only physically and not mentally. I have no qualms going up to lookout decks, stepping out on balconies, leaning over a Ferris Wheel cart ... but upon doing so I become dizzy, nauseous and panicked.

4. I am clumsy. I trip, I drop things, I miss when pouring, I run into desks and furniture with knees and hips. He says my favourite word is "Oops". A vision test in university indicated I had poor depth perception - that's my excuse.

5. I am interested in interior design, but know very little about it. This leads me to continuously and unsatisfactorily redecorate rooms in my house.
