Fri Dec 10 04 / 8:26 AM Today I had a job interview at Koei, a large video game company. They were looking for an English speaker to play their upcoming American-release games and proofread the language in it. Just the idea that I could apply for something like that here is awesome. This is what I told people before the interview, and I even meant it. Unfortunately, I did not get the job. It was part-time, but overlapped slightly with my teaching hours, and they said they decided to go with somebody else rather than have to work around my schedule. But the interviewer sent me an email saying that I am eligible for a similar position they will be opening soon, and he will get in touch with me again. I have been living in a dream world that allows me to not try. It has been so many years since I actually went out and did something, and maybe coming to Japan is just the start of it. |
