During the winter of my discontent, I wallowed in being alone because I couldn't enjoy my own company in the company of others. If I wouldn't want to be around me if I were someone else, how could I subject that someone else to being around me? But I have a life again. I found a house and a mortgage. I have a friend and a plan to go to Japan with. I have five new shirts and an appointment for a haircut. |
