I hide my perceived failures

How accountable are we to our own thoughts? Not the reactions, or the emotions, or the ideas, but the things we think about as our single selves, alone in the nighttime. The things that make us who we are, but that nobody ever sees. The things I write about and don't put online.

How accountable am I to a thought I wrote down instead of forgetting? If somebody reads it, either because I showed them or I didn't, does that change anything? I try to be honest with myself in the Shakespearean way, but some things that I do, or some things that I've done, were never meant for you to know.
