It makes me much more approachable, and maybe I even get more tips. I definitely have more fun, although I'm not very good with the simple math of making change. Also, I tend to have conversations with the bouncers during which I have the horrid internal realization that I'm either spouting complete lies, complete truths that mess up the lies I previously told, or complete nonsense. On Saturday night I also smoked up during work, in the girls' bathroom. After the second trip to the stall, I went to put my empty dope baggie into the tampon disposal and found an empty vodka mickey. Girls are hardcore. On the way back to coat check, I ran into the other Van I know, the one from 7 years ago on IRC and grade 2 in Renfrew. He bought me shooters, we chatted in a manner that was surprisingly awkward for someone who was high and someone who was drunk, and I went back to work. On his way out he passed me a note inviting me to dinner. I emailed my decline, stating that I was already dating a guy named Van, and thinking that I wasn't even remotely attracted to him. I really love working in a nightclub.
