Time is flying; maybe it's all getting sucked into that bottomless pit of the International Date Line like that very first day.

Back home, people are starting school in a week or so. This is the first September I won't be doing that - but it doesn't really feel like anything ... just like that semester I had off after high school.

Ryan has left France early because the job wasn't worth it. Ashley is (right now) on his way to China to become a teacher (I don't think he is a teacher yet). And here I am in Australia. This is the year of the traveller, and I am happy to be one.

But, what I am doing right now isn't travelling. This is merely living, and I prefer the living in Canada. Maybe the right job would make this seem more like a vacation, but I think it would only delay the inevitable and add the side pleasure of having disposable income.

So I'm going to start moving, as planned, and stop these daily habits that get me nowhere and nothing. Until I run out of money and feel I've seen everything, I'm going to travel.

I'll probably come home earlier than I said. And now that I have a countdown, I'm back to my old self. Because I hate waiting.
