Mon Apr 16 01 / 6:33 AM I had this really interesting dream last night. It was like watching a movie, up until I realized I was watching a movie (postmodernism sucks). I don't know where any of it came from, either, and I like that. It was one of those dreams that make me realize that I do have enough creative mysteriouso up there to make it. last night's dream: The dream opened on an amazing expanse of the darkest blue water, and there was the idea of a pale shoreline, but I don't think I actually saw it. What I did see was that there was a perfect apple orchard growing in this ocean. Run by the stereotypical grizzled but kindly older man and a group of summer-hire teenagers, the orchard was going through tough times, but was still a place for all kinds of personal growth. The ocean was deep, but the kids could walk across it. Everyone was graceful and the girls could carry the boys; the gravity was lighter than once thought. My dream eyes went under the water to the source of the orchard's troubles. Underneath the surface, the trees were growing out of plastic crates, each one set on a concrete pillar. The water was so dark though, it was scary, and darker still around certain trees - because they were diseased. If I hadn't started to wonder about the gravity and the dream had gone on, I'm sure the kids would have figured out a way to save the orchard. |
