So many boys, so little time.

Tonight seemed the usual at Barrymore's. I really didn't intend to go, except it was James' birthday and Jen agreed to come along. I don't think James expected to go either, and he certainly didn't appreciate what I was up to. But it turned out so much better than I could have imagined. ...

Jen and I danced all night long. We gossiped, we stared, we drank, we made requests dedicated to the two gentlemen dressed as the Blues Brothers. I was hyper, and Jen was that once-in-a-while lusty party girl. I fed off her, and it tasted wonderful. The boys kept coming all night long.

I think I was the one who suggested we dance on stage, but the last 20 minutes weren't my idea. My ideal, maybe, but my idea, no. A group of four boys, all trendy but not quite, all cute but not hammered, all danceable but not stiff, all together but not gay. I was stuck in the middle with them; I saw them, they saw me, the music was loud and hot and fierce and ongoing.

I had to keep looking at my watch, and it sucked. The bus was coming, and Cinderella's shoes needed to be lost. The compliments on the way to the bus lessened - but not abated - the high I was coming off of.

Four gorgeous guys whirling around my gravity, and I had to supernova early. Damn.

I lost some money, I think.

Life is too short for "too".
