Sun Oct 01 00 / 3:36 AM Here is another first: housewarming party. People brought me gifts that I didn't expect. Groups formed around me that I didn't even have to wish for. A hand caressed my waist that I didn't think I deserved. It was all warm and easygoing and quite right enough; I'd call it homey if I didn't have an unromantic aversion to the word. But maybe that is the perfect word; a new home, a new couch, a new feeling - exciting and uncomfortable in all the good getting used to places. |
