I am not led by emotions.

I live day-to-day on observation, logic, knowledge, experience. On occasion, I may make decisions based entirely on feeling, but that feeling is usually a juvenile nowism that demands pleasure quickly at the expense of most else.

Such a lifestyle (though I hesitate to use such a word as it implies choice) makes for a calm demeanor, and the friends expect a good word more often than not.

Do you know what happens when I don't have a good word? The other players stare at their scripts in horror and look desperately for a cue card. After years of the straight and narrow, one would think I would be allowed to depart from the stage and join the backstage reality once in a while.

There's nothing wrong with improv. It makes you a better actor. But when a troupe is so fragile it cannot withstand a trial by ire, what have the years been for?

Forget the program. My name is in lights and I invite you to burn so harsh. Now that's entertainment.
