I read this on a web comic about robots, hamsters, president Lincoln, and a bookstore, and it made me feel happy and clear:

Power in retail? So many seek it, but they don't realize what they're asking for. Come the end of the day, what use is it? Can you use the power at home? Can you you use the power to cook your breakfast, or call upon a legion of orange goblins to destroy the neighbor who takes heroin in your kitchen and draws a mustache on your hamster? The answer is no. Power in retail is useless, do not seek it. Punch in, punch out, you'll live longer.
