Kerry, the older woman at work whose daughter I think walks all over her but who nonetheless I crave some form of motherly approval from, said she wanted to talk to me about something important. I was thrilled. I love to be included at work.

She said a friend of hers, (a long time customer maybe?), was interested in me. How weird and how fun. I grinned. I was vaguely embarrassed that she didn't know I have a boyfriend of three years, and that I was giving her the task of disappointing her friend, but I was still flattered.

I wonder how someone could become interested in me at work - I dress poorly, I work quickly, and I barely tolerate customers.

Why don't I talk about him? I guess I feel it's only interesting to me. We don't really do anything, after all. But it's been 3 years and the end is nowhere in sight, so happiness must be simple.
