Dream #4
.

Wed May 10 00 / 1:19 AM

It is 2:26 am and I had this dream five minutes ago. I think it was partially influenced by Sunday night's X-Files episode about the "everybody has a twin out there" notion.

the dream:

I was downtown with a friend, it was late at night. We noticed a man in a red shirt, jeans, dark hair, white skin; he was getting money out of a bank machine. As this was a bad part of town, he of course got robbed very soon afterwards.

The scene switched and the friend I was hanging out with became Jerry Seinfeld. We were still downtown, but in a slightly different location. Jerry was getting money out of a bank machine, when I realized what was going on. The man my friend and I had noticed was Jerry's out there twin, and their destinies were linked: ie Jerry was about to get robbed.

Looking to the left, Jerry and I saw a fat man on a motorcycle pull up to the sidewalk and stare at us. He was greasy and slobby, of Asian descent, and wore sunglasses. Jerry and I ran.

We rounded a corner and decided to hide in a stairwell. I was having my common dream trouble of getting my legs to move up the stairs, but Jerry pulled me up. It was my decision to try the door at the top of the stairs. It was unlocked, and so we hid in the glassed-in lobby of an apartment building.

This of course did little to deter the enraged fat man.

Jerry had locked the door, and was teasing our pursuer with bad comedy through the window, so the fat man kicked in the glass wall. He didn't demand Jerry's money, though. All he wanted was for us to admit that there was no such thing as the MoviePix channel on TV and no such thing as soap operas.
