Tue May 02 00 / 12:33 AM I have this job that doesn't let me work. I have this boyfriend that I will never love. I have this amazing brain, but no talent. I have a look that takes hours, but pleases no one. I have plans without ambitions or means. I have friends I rarely see.
Appearances. Appearances are only a comfort to others. They do nothing for the one who knows what lies underneath the mask and the makeup. ... or what doesn't lie underneath ... I am not even shallow, I take my meaning from others and return little. Maybe not nothing, but only enough something to fool you. |
